Job Role: Hotel Operations Manager

Salary: £34,000 - £38,000 DOE

Location: Perthshire, Scotland

Type: Full-time Hours, Permanent

Starting between November and December 31st

Overview

The Flavour Network is proud to be partnered with a highly regarded boutique hospitality group in Scotland, known for its exceptional food, unique style, and commitment to quality guest experiences.

Duties and Responsibilities for the Hotel Operations Manager
  • Take ownership of the hotel, ensuring an exceptional guest experience across all departments.
  • Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and staff accommodation to maintain cleanliness, presentation, and compliance standards.
  • Hold daily and weekly briefings with the General Manager, Heads of Department, and senior team to ensure clear communication and operational efficiency.
  • Work alongside the Restaurant and Bar teams in service, supporting daily operations and covering management absences as required.
  • Lead by example in food and beverage service, maintaining quality standards and ensuring targets are achieved, including a minimum GP of 76%.
  • Manage and oversee hotel financial procedures including reconciliations, invoicing, purchasing, and rota budgets.
  • Review and authorise orders, stock, and payroll in line with business targets.
  • Promote and oversee events, corporate bookings, and private functions, ensuring professional coordination and delivery.
  • Maintain full compliance with all Health & Safety, Fire Safety, Licensing, and Risk Assessment requirements.
  • Ensure all staff certificates, records, and compliance documentation are accurate and up to date.
  • Lead, train, and support department managers and staff, addressing any HR or performance issues in collaboration with the Operations and HR Manager.
  • Conduct regular fire safety checks and maintain a high standard of safety awareness throughout the property.
  • Monitor and manage financial reporting, ensuring any discrepancies are promptly investigated and resolved.
  • Act as a visible and approachable leader throughout the hotel, engaging with guests and supporting teams as required.
  • Continually identify opportunities to improve guest satisfaction, operational efficiency, and profitability.
