Job description

Donington Hall, recently acquired by MotorSport Vision (MSV), is undergoing an exciting transformation into a boutique 49-bedroom luxury hotel and Motorhouse located next to one of the UK’s most historic race circuits, Donington Park.

As part of the transformation, we are seeking a highly organised and proactive Hotel Operations Co‑ordinator to support the General Manager during the remaining development and operational launch phase.

The Hotel Operations Co‑ordinator at Donington Hall will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day‑to‑day running of the hotel’s development, working closely with the General Manager to provide essential operational support. The role will encompass administrative and organisational responsibilities, ensuring all aspects of general administration are completed efficiently and to an exceptional standard.

Duties of the Hotel Operations Co‑ordinator
  • Provide a high-level of administrative and organisational support to the General Manager throughout the hotel’s development and pre‑opening phase
  • Assist in the coordination of project timelines, meetings, and ensure progress across multiple areas of the development
  • Assist with staff onboarding and assist the Recruitment team with large scale recruitment activities
  • Prepare and maintain detailed documentation, reports, and presentations relating to project development, procurement, construction and launch planning
  • Support procurement activities, liaising with suppliers, contractors, and partners to facilitate smooth operational readiness including the creation of PO numbers
  • Act as a professional point of contact for contractors, consultants, potential partners, and future guests during the development period
  • Assist with the coordination and planning of pre‑opening events and site visits
What we’re looking for
  • Previous experience within an administration role is essential, experience within the hotel or leisure industry is preferred
  • Excellent organisational skills and a calm, can‑do attitude
  • Immaculate attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to work well under pressure, especially as we get closer to the hotel launch
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office; experience using hotel CRM systems would be desirable
  • A genuine enthusiasm for hospitality, service, and teamwork
  • Professionalism, discretion, and a friendly, positive manner
