Salary: £32,000 - 37,000 per year (DOE)

Contract: Full-time, Permanent

Are you a hands‑on Maintenance professional looking for your next step in hospitality? We're seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead the upkeep and smooth running of our busy Edinburgh hotel.

About the Role

As our Maintenance Manager, you'll be responsible for ensuring the hotel's facilities are safe, well‑maintained, and always looking their best. This is a hands‑on role – you'll spend as much time on the tools as you will planning maintenance schedules.

You’ll work closely with the management and front‑of‑house teams to ensure any issues are dealt with quickly and with minimal disruption to our guests, delivering an exceptional customer experience every time.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out day‑to‑day maintenance, repairs, and general upkeep of the hotel
  • Manage and prioritise maintenance requests efficiently
  • Perform basic electrical, plumbing, joinery, and decoration tasks
  • Ensure all health & safety standards and compliance requirements are met
  • Liaise with external contractors when necessary
  • Maintain excellent communication with guests and staff to resolve issues quickly and professionally
What We're Looking For
  • Proven hands‑on maintenance experience (ideally in hotels or hospitality)
  • A practical problem‑solver with strong attention to detail
  • Confident dealing with guests and staff in a friendly, professional manner
  • Basic knowledge of building systems, plumbing, electrics, and general maintenance
  • Ability to manage your own workload and respond quickly to issues
