Job summary

The Bodmin Jail Hotel is seeking a Housekeeping Porter to help move linen, stock, and maintain public spaces across the hotel. You will support the housekeeping team and ensure rooms are prepared for check-ins, while upholding safety and sanitation standards.

Ideal candidates have basic education, a keen eye for detail, and the stamina to handle manual tasks. This role offers Full Time, Part Time, and Casual opportunities with shift flexibility.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent; related certification is a plus.
• Experience in housekeeping or similar role is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Physical stamina to perform manual labour tasks, including lifting and moving heavy objects.

Responsibilities

• Deliver, move, and distribute linen and stock from receiving area, storage, and rooms area.
• Deliver items for housekeeping and FOH team members across the hotel.
• Ensure all goods received in/out are checked and stored correctly.
• Support Housekeeping Manager and Housekeeping Team Leaders to distribute minibar items for arrival and stay-over rooms.
• Remove rubbish and maintain rubbish bins in all public spaces.
• Work closely with the housekeeping team to ensure efficient stock and movement of linen across the hotel and F&B while communicating effectively with colleagues and supervisors to coordinate tasks.
• Adhere to all safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a safe and clean working environment.
• Follow hotel policies and procedures related to housekeeping and guest service.
