Job summary

Premier Inn in York City Centre is hiring a Kitchen Team Member to work 30 hours per week at up to £13.06 per hour. This permanent role will involve breakfast and dinner service, helping with deliveries and stock, and working closely with the hotel team to ensure smooth service. No hotel experience required, full training provided.

You’ll be part of a busy kitchen environment with evenings and weekends required; great for team players who enjoy hands-on hospitality and rapid results.

We're currently recruiting in our York City Centre (Blossom Street South) location. Working 30 hours per week, paying up to £13.06 per hour.

One minute you could be preparing breakfast before guests wake up. The next you’ll be helping the team through a busy dinner service. Pay, hours and location

Pay: Up to £13.06 per hour

Contract: Permanent – we don’t do zero-hours contracts.

Hours: 30 contracted hours per week.

Location: 28-40 Blossom Street, York, North Yorkshire, YO24 1AJ.

Shifts: Includes evenings, weekends and busy guest periods.

What You’ll Do

As a Kitchen Team Member you’ll help make sure every guest gets a meal they’ll enjoy. You’ll:

• Prepare ingredients before service starts

• Help keep the kitchen clean, organised and ready for the next rush
• Receive deliveries and keep stock where it should be
• Work closely with the hotel team so service runs smoothly

You Don’t Need Hotel Experience

Some of our best Kitchen Team Members joined us from supermarkets, cafés, pubs, restaurants, warehouses and customer service jobs. If you’re willing to learn, we’ll teach you the rest.

You Might Have Worked As a

• Catering Assistant
• Barista
• Kitchen Porter
• Retail Assistant
• Warehouse Operative

This could be your first kitchen job or you may have worked in hospitality before. What matters most is that you're reliable, enjoy working with others and don’t mind rolling your sleeves up when things get busy.
