Job summary

Whitbread PLC’s Premier Inn in Woking West is seeking a Kitchen Team Member to help prepare, cook and serve meals during breakfast and dinner.

Pay is up to £13.06 per hour on a fixed-term contract until 30 November 2026, with 20 contracted hours per week, on-site at Bridge Barn Lane, Horsell, Woking, Surrey, GU21 6NL. If you’re reliable and enjoy working with a team, you’ll fit right in, with training and opportunities to grow.

• No hotel experience required; suitable from supermarkets, cafés, pubs, restaurants, or customer service jobs.

• Prepare ingredients before service starts.
• Cook and plate meals during breakfast and dinner service.
• Help keep the kitchen clean, organised and ready for the next rush.
• Receive deliveries and keep stock where it should be.
• Work closely with the hotel team so service runs smoothly.
• Help make sure every meal leaves the kitchen looking right.

Kitchen Team Member – Woking West (A324) Premier Inn

This isn’t just about cooking.

One minute you could be preparing breakfast before guests wake up. The next you’ll be helping the team through a busy dinner service.

Pay, hours and location

Pay: Up to £13.06 per hour

Contract: Fixed-term contract until 30/11/2026 - we don’t do zero-hours contracts.

Hours: 20 contracted hours per week.

Location: Woking West (A324) Premier Inn - Bridge Barn Lane, Horsell, Woking, Surrey, GU21 6NL

Shifts: Includes evenings, weekends and busy guest periods.

What you’ll do

As a Kitchen Team Member you’ll help make sure every guest gets a meal they’ll enjoy. You’ll:

• Prepare ingredients before service starts
• Cook and plate meals during breakfast and dinner service
• Help keep the kitchen clean, organised and ready for the next rush
• Receive deliveries and keep stock where it should be
• Work closely with the hotel team so service runs smoothly
• Help make sure every meal leaves the kitchen looking right

This isn't a role where you’ll spend your shift hidden in the back washing up.

You’ll be part of a team that’s working together to deliver the meals our guests rely on.

You don’t need hotel experience

Some of our best Kitchen Team Members joined us from supermarkets, cafés, pubs, restaurants, warehouses and customer service jobs.

If you’re willing to learn, we’ll teach you the rest.

You might have worked as a:

• Catering Assistant
• Barista
• Kitchen Porter
• Retail Assistant
• Warehouse Operative

This could be your first kitchen job or you may have worked in hospitality before.

What matters most is that you're reliable, enjoy working with others and don’t mind rolling your sleeves up when things get busy.
