Job summary

Whitbread's Ripley Premier Inn is hiring a Kitchen Team Member to support breakfast and dinner service. You'll prepare ingredients, cook meals and help plate dishes, keeping the kitchen clean and organized during peak periods.

Working 22 contracted hours per week on a fixed-term contract until 01/03/2027, you’ll earn up to £13.06 per hour. No prior hotel experience is required—training is provided and you’ll join a friendly team at Ripley.

• Able to work evenings and weekends as shifts include these times.
• Reliable, team‑oriented and able to handle busy periods.

Kitchen Team Member – Ripley Premier Inn

We're currently recruiting in our Ripley Premier Inn. Working 22 hours per week, paying up to £13.06 per hour.

This Isn’t Just About Cooking.

You’ll help prepare, cook and serve meals that become part of someone’s stay at Premier Inn because a good meal can make a great stay even better.

One minute you could be preparing breakfast before guests wake up. The next you’ll be helping the team through a busy dinner service.

Pay, hours and location

Pay: Up to £13.06 per hour

Contract: Fixed-term contract until 01/03/2027 - we don't do zero-hours contracts.

Hours: 22 contracted hours per week.

Location: Ripley Premier Inn - Nottingham Road, Ripley, Derby, DE5 3QP

Shifts: Includes evenings, weekends and busy guest periods.

What You’ll Do

As a Kitchen Team Member you’ll help make sure every guest gets a meal they’ll enjoy. You’ll:

• Prepare ingredients before service starts
• Cook and plate meals during breakfast and dinner service
• Help keep the kitchen clean, organised and ready for the next rush
• Receive deliveries and keep stock where it should be
• Work closely with the hotel team so service runs smoothly
• Help make sure every meal leaves the kitchen looking right

This isn't a role where you’ll spend your shift hidden in the back washing up.

You’ll be part of a team that’s working together to deliver the meals our guests rely on.

You Don’t Need Hotel Experience

Some of our best Kitchen Team Members joined us from supermarkets, cafés, pubs, restaurants, warehouses and customer service jobs.

If you’re willing to learn, we’ll teach you the rest.

You Might Have Worked As a

This could be your first kitchen job or you may have worked in hospitality before.
