Job summary

Premier Inn Hull City Centre is hiring a Kitchen Team Member for 30 hours per week with pay up to £13.06 per hour. You’ll prepare, cook and serve meals as part of a busy hotel kitchen.

You’ll work evenings and weekends, learn on the job, and join a supportive team. This role is a first kitchen job or a step into hospitality, with training and opportunities within Premier Inn.

Qualifications

• No prior kitchen experience required.
• Able to work as part of a team and stay calm during busy periods.
• Reliable, with a positive attitude and readiness to roll up sleeves.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients before service starts.
• Cook and plate meals during breakfast and dinner service.
• Help keep the kitchen clean and organized for the next rush.
• Receive deliveries and manage stock placements.
• Work closely with hotel team to ensure smooth service.
• Ensure meals leave the kitchen looking presentable.

We're currently recruiting in our Hull City Centre Premier Inn. Working 30 hours per week, paying up to £13.06 per hour.

Hotel Kitchen Team Member – Hull City Centre Premier Inn

This isn’t just about cooking.

You’ll help prepare, cook and serve meals that become part of someone’s stay at Premier Inn because a good meal can make a great stay even better.

One minute you could be preparing breakfast before guests wake up. The next you’ll be helping the team through a busy dinner service.

Pay, hours and location

Pay: Up to £13.06 per hour

Hours: 30 contracted hours per week.

Location: Hull City Centre Premier Inn,Tower Street, Citadel Way, Hull, East Yorkshire, HU9 1TQ

Shifts:Includes evenings, weekends and busy guest periods.

What you’ll do

As a Kitchen Team Member you’ll help make sure every guest gets a meal they’ll enjoy. You’ll:

• Prepare ingredients before service starts
• Cook and plate meals during breakfast and dinner service
• Help keep the kitchen clean, organised and ready for the next rush
• Receive deliveries and keep stock where it should be
• Work closely with the hotel team so service runs smoothly
• Help make sure every meal leaves the kitchen looking right

This isn't a role where you’ll spend your shift hidden in the back washing up.

You’ll be part of a team that’s working together to deliver the meals our guests rely on.

Some of our best Kitchen Team Members joined us from supermarkets, cafés, pubs, restaurants, warehouses and customer service jobs.

If you’re willing to learn, we’ll teach you the rest.

You might have worked as a:

• Catering Assistant
• Barista
• Retail Assistant
• Warehouse Operative

This could be your first kitchen job or you may have worked in hospitality before.

What matters most is that you're reliable, enjoy working with others and don’t mind rolling your sleeves up when things get busy.
