Job summary

Whitbread is hiring a Kitchen Team Member for the Glasgow City Centre Premier Inn at 24 Howard Street. The role is 30 hours per week under a fixed-term contract until January 2027, with shifts including evenings and weekends.

You will help prepare, cook and plate meals, support stock management and ensure smooth service for guests. It’s a hands-on kitchen role that encourages teamwork, with on-the-job training and opportunities to develop skills in a busy hospitality environment in Glasgow.

We're currently recruiting in our Glasgow City Centre (St Enoch Square). Working 30 hours per week, paying up to £13.06 per hour.

Kitchen Team Member – Glasgow City Centre (St Enoch Square) Premier Inn

You’ll help prepare, cook and serve meals that become part of someone’s stay at Premier Inn because a good meal can make a great stay even better.

One minute you could be preparing breakfast before guests wake up. The next you’ll be helping the team through a busy dinner service.

Pay, hours and location

Pay: Up to £13.06 per hour

Contract: Fixed Term Contract until Jan 2027 – we don’t do zero-hours contracts.

Hours: 30 contracted hours per week.

Location: 24 Howard Street, Glasgow, Scotland, G1 4AG

Shifts: Includes evenings, weekends and busy guest periods.

This isn't a role where you’ll spend your shift hidden in the back washing up.

You Don’t Need Hotel Experience

Some of our best Kitchen Team Members joined us from supermarkets, cafés, pubs, restaurants, warehouses and customer service jobs.

If you’re willing to learn, we’ll teach you the rest.

You Might Have Worked As a

• Kitchen Porter
• Retail Assistant
• Warehouse Operative

This could be your first kitchen job or you may have worked in hospitality before.

What matters most is that you're reliable, enjoy working with others and don’t mind rolling your sleeves up when things get busy.
