Job summary

Premier Inn Edinburgh City Centre (Princes Street) is hiring a Kitchen Team Member to help prepare, cook and plate meals that guests will enjoy during their stay.

You'll work 35 hours per week, with shifts including evenings and weekends, on a fixed-term contract until 31 December 2026. The role emphasises teamwork, reliability and a hands-on approach in a busy kitchen, with training and support provided from day one.

Kitchen Team Member – Edinburgh City Centre (Princes Street) Premier Inn

This isn’t just about cooking.

You’ll help prepare, cook and serve meals that become part of someone’s stay at Premier Inn because a good meal can make a great stay even better.

One minute you could be preparing breakfast before guests wake up. The next you’ll be helping the team through a busy dinner service.

Pay, hours and location

Pay: Up to £13.56 per hour

Contract: Fixed Term Contract until 31/12/2026 – we don’t do zero-hours contracts.

Hours: 35 contracted hours per week.

Location: Edinburgh City Centre (Princes Street) Premier Inn, 121, 123 Princes St., Edinburgh EH2 4AD

Shifts: Includes evenings, weekends and busy guest periods.

What you’ll do

As a Kitchen Team Member you’ll help make sure every guest gets a meal they’ll enjoy. You’ll:

• Prepare ingredients before service starts

• Help keep the kitchen clean, organised and ready for the next rush
• Receive deliveries and keep stock where it should be
• Work closely with the hotel team so service runs smoothly
• Help make sure every meal leaves the kitchen looking right

This isn't a role where you’ll spend your shift hidden in the back washing up.

You’ll be part of a team that’s working together to deliver the meals our guests rely on.

You don’t need hotel experience

Some of our best Kitchen Team Members joined us from supermarkets, cafés, pubs, restaurants, warehouses and customer service jobs.

If you’re willing to learn, we’ll teach you the rest.

You might have worked as a:

• Catering Assistant
• Barista
• Kitchen Porter
• Retail Assistant
• Warehouse Operative

This could be your first kitchen job or you may have worked in hospitality before.

What matters most is that you're reliable, enjoy working with others and don’t mind rolling your sleeves up when things get busy.
