Job summary

Premier Inn in Cardiff North is seeking a Kitchen Team Member to help prepare, cook and serve meals for guests. You’ll work with a team to ensure meals are served on time, while keeping the kitchen clean and well-organised for the next rush.

You may be new to kitchen work or have hospitality experience; what matters is reliability, teamwork and a willingness to roll up your sleeves during busy periods. This is a permanent role with set hours.

Qualifications

• Reliable and able to work in a team.
• Willing to learn and adapt in a busy kitchen.
• No hotel experience required, prior hospitality roles help but not needed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients before service starts.
• Cook and plate meals during breakfast and dinner service.
• Help keep the kitchen clean, organised and ready for the next rush.
• Receive deliveries and keep stock in the correct places.
• Work closely with the hotel team so service runs smoothly.
• Ensure every meal leaves the kitchen looking right.

Kitchen Team Member – Cardiff North Premier Inn

This isn’t just about cooking.

You’ll help prepare, cook and serve meals that become part of someone’s stay at Premier Inn because a good meal can make a great stay even better.

One minute you could be preparing breakfast before guests wake up. The next you’ll be helping the team through a busy dinner service.

Pay, hours and location

Pay: Up to £13.06 per hour

Contract: Permanent – we don’t do zero-hours contracts.

Hours: 30 contracted hours per week.

Location: Cardiff North Premier Inn , Eastern Avenue, Pentwyn

Shifts: Includes evenings, weekends and busy guest periods.

What you’ll do

As a Kitchen Team Member you’ll help make sure every guest gets a meal they’ll enjoy. You’ll:

• Prepare ingredients before service starts
• Cook and plate meals during breakfast and dinner service
• Help keep the kitchen clean, organised and ready for the next rush
• Receive deliveries and keep stock where it should be
• Work closely with the hotel team so service runs smoothly
• Help make sure every meal leaves the kitchen looking right

This isn't a role where you’ll spend your shift hidden in the back washing up.

You’ll be part of a team that’s working together to deliver the meals our guests rely on.

You don’t need hotel experience

Some of our best Kitchen Team Members joined us from supermarkets, cafés, pubs, restaurants, warehouses and customer service jobs.

If you’re willing to learn, we’ll teach you the rest.

You might have worked as a:

• Catering Assistant
• Barista
• Kitchen Porter
• Retail Assistant
• Warehouse Operative

This could be your first kitchen job or you may have worked in hospitality before.

What matters most is that you're reliable, enjoy working with others and don’t mind rolling your sleeves up when things get busy.
