Job summary

Premier Inn in Brighton City Centre is seeking a Kitchen Team Member to help prepare, cook and serve meals that guests will enjoy during their stay. You’ll work on breakfast and dinner service, with shifts including evenings and weekends, under a fixed-term contract until 28 January 2027 and 24 contracted hours per week.

No prior hotel experience is required; we’ll teach you the rest and you’ll join a supportive team focused on delivering great meals to guests.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients before service starts.
• Cook and plate meals during breakfast and dinner service.
• Help keep the kitchen clean, organised and ready for the next rush.
• Receive deliveries and keep stock where it should be.
• Work closely with the hotel team so service runs smoothly.

Kitchen Team Member – Brighton City Centre Premier Inn

This isn’t just about cooking.

You’ll help prepare, cook and serve meals that become part of someone’s stay at Premier Inn because a good meal can make a great stay even better.

One minute you could be preparing breakfast before guests wake up. The next you’ll be helping the team through a busy dinner service.

Pay, hours and location

Pay: Up to £13.06 per hour

Contract: Fixed-term contract until 28/01/2027 – we don’t do zero-hours contracts.

Hours: 24 contracted hours per week.

Location: Brighton City Centre Premier Inn - 144 North Street, Brighton, East Sussex, BN1 1RE

Shifts:Includes evenings, weekends and busy guest periods.

What you’ll do

As a Kitchen Team Member you’ll help make sure every guest gets a meal they’ll enjoy. You’ll:

• Prepare ingredients before service starts

This isn't a role where you’ll spend your shift hidden in the back washing up.

You’ll be part of a team that’s working together to deliver the meals our guests rely on.

You don’t need hotel experience

Some of our best Kitchen Team Members joined us from supermarkets, cafés, pubs, restaurants, warehouses and customer service jobs.

If you’re willing to learn, we’ll teach you the rest.

You might have worked as a:

• Catering Assistant
• Barista
• Kitchen Porter
• Retail Assistant
• Warehouse Operative

This could be your first kitchen job or you may have worked in hospitality before.

What matters most is that you're reliable, enjoy working with others and don’t mind rolling your sleeves up when things get busy.
