Job summary

Premier Inn is hiring a Kitchen Team Member at York South West Premier Inn, Bilbrough Top, near York. You’ll work 12 contracted hours per week, with a pay rate of up to £13.06 per hour, on a permanent contract with guaranteed hours.

You’ll prepare ingredients, cook breakfast and dinner, receive deliveries, keep the kitchen clean and help the team run service smoothly. Shifts include evenings and weekends; prior hospitality experience is helpful but not required.

We're currently recruiting in our York South West Premier Inn. Working 12 hours per week, paying up to £13.06 per hour.

This isn't just about cooking.

You'll help prepare, cook and serve meals that become part of someone’s stay at Premier Inn because a good meal can make a great stay even better.

One minute you could be preparing breakfast before guests wake up. The next you'll be helping the team through a busy dinner service.

Pay, hours and location

Pay: Up to £13.06 per hour

Hours: 12 contracted hours per week.

Location: York South West Premier Inn. Bilbrough Top, Colton, York, North Yorkshire, YO23 3PP

Shifts:Includes evenings, weekends and busy guest periods.

What you’ll do

As a Kitchen Team Member you'll help make sure every guest gets a meal they'll enjoy. You'll:

• Prepare ingredients before service starts


• Cook and plate meals during breakfast and dinner service


• Help keep the kitchen clean, organised and ready for the next rush


• Receive deliveries and keep stock where it should be


• Work closely with the hotel team so service runs smoothly

This isn't a role where you'll spend your shift hidden in the back washing up.

You'll be part of a team that’s working together to deliver the meals our guests rely on.

Some of our best Kitchen Team Members joined us from supermarkets, cafés, pubs, restaurants, warehouses and customer service jobs.

You might have worked as a:

• Catering Assistant


• Barista


• Retail Assistant


• Warehouse Operative

This could be your first kitchen job or you may have worked in hospitality before.
