Job summary

Whitbread PLC is hiring a Kitchen Team Member for Premier Inn in Bangor, Northern Ireland. This role focuses on supporting breakfast and dinner service, preparing ingredients, cooking, and keeping the kitchen clean and organized to ensure smooth service.

No hotel experience required; training provided. You’ll join a busy team, with evenings, weekends, and busy periods. Salary is up to £13.06 per hour, with 20 contracted hours weekly under a fixed-term contract until 04 March 2027.

Pay, hours and location

Pay: Up to £13.06 per hour

Contract: Fixed Term Contract (until 04/03/2027) – we don’t do zero-hours contracts.

Hours: 20 contracted hours per week.

Location: Castle Avenue, Bangor, Northern Ireland, BT20 4TH

Shifts: Includes evenings, weekends and busy guest periods.

What you’ll do

As a Kitchen Team Member you’ll help make sure every guest gets a meal they’ll enjoy. You’ll:

• Prepare ingredients before service starts
• Cook and plate meals during breakfast and dinner service
• Help keep the kitchen clean, organised and ready for the next rush
• Receive deliveries and keep stock where it should be
• Work closely with the hotel team so service runs smoothly
• Help make sure every meal leaves the kitchen looking right

This isn't a role where you’ll spend your shift hidden in the back washing up.

You’ll be part of a team that’s working together to deliver the meals our guests rely on.

You don’t need hotel experience

Some of our best Kitchen Team Members joined us from supermarkets, cafés, pubs, restaurants, warehouses and customer service jobs.

If you’re willing to learn, we’ll teach you the rest.

You might have worked as a:

• Catering Assistant
• Barista
• Kitchen Porter
• Retail Assistant
• Warehouse Operative

This could be your first kitchen job or you may have worked in hospitality before.

What matters most is that you're reliable, enjoy working with others and don’t mind rolling your sleeves up when things get busy.
