Overview

Hotel Cook - MOXY Southampton

This position is based on a full time contract.

Gross Salary: £28860 per year

Responsibilities
  • Prepare food using Merry chefs
  • Present food in line with brand standards
  • Preparation, set-up, service, clean up and restocking of the appropriate prep areas of food
  • Placing food orders and ensure food cost is in line with budgets
  • Restock, take deliveries, plan orders, and organize BOH areas
  • Cleanliness of the kitchen area
  • Full ownership of FIFO system (first in first out) of food items
  • Follow all food safety policies to work safely
  • Food handling according to HACCP regulations (product rotation, temperature maintenance and record keeping, storage procedures etc.)
Qualifications
  • You don\'t need to be a chef but you must have a passion for food, be organised, and be able to work under pressure
  • Experience of Merry chefs would be advantageous but not essential as training will be given
  • Moxie qualities: high energy, fearless do-it-yourself attitude, passionate about food
  • Skilled multi-tasker who can balance hard work with great service and thinking ahead
  • Clear communicator, fluent in English (other languages a plus)
Useful Experience

  • Personal experience of travel and travel industry
