Job location and terms

You'll work in our wonderful Bloc building, located in Manchester City Centre Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week. Please note this is a 12 month fixed term contract.

Job purpose

The Host role is a pivotal position as the face of Bruntwood. You will be the first point of contact and ultimately you will be working with our clients/tenants on a regular basis. It's important you are approachable and love speaking to people and building relationships. We welcome applicants from hospitality/retail/cabin crew backgrounds where you will be a natural at this.

What will you be doing?
  • Delivering a positive Customer Experience within the building
  • Build lasting, long term, professional relationships with customers
  • Be the first point of contact for all customers and visitors in the building
  • Support and facilitate events and meetings within the building
  • Facilitate new customer viewings to support the sales process
  • Host the meeting rooms, coworking, lounge and other communal amenities, maintaining high standards of presentation and food and beverage service where applicable
  • Able to manage own workload to flex between essential desk based tasks and building customer relationships with customers
  • Collate all customer intelligence and update systems accordingly to support sales and retention
  • Work as part of a wider team, engage with your customers, colleagues, management team and other departments within Bruntwood
  • Be a role model to promote wellbeing in the workplace
  • Focus on continuous improvement, ensuring we add value, save time and make things simple for the customer
  • Be basically brilliant, applying your energy, drive and knowledge to inspire your colleagues to do the best that they can, working together with a simple and straightforward approach to get the best out of our colleagues and for our customers, the right service every time
What are we looking for?
  • You must have a can do attitude and be able to step up to the challenges of working in a fast paced, dynamic and developing organisation.
  • We are looking for curious and interesting people, with high attention to detail and a drive to go over and above for customers - motivation and a positive attitude are key to this role
  • Admin experience is a must, as you will be managing our enquiries mailbox on a daily basis
  • Digitally aware - the ability to use Microsoft/Google packages (Excel/Word) effectively
  • You will be an excellent communicator, bringing your personality to work and interacting with people on a human level
  • Skills and experience in hospitality, retail or other service sectors
  • Able to maintain high levels of energy and positivity throughout the day
