We burst onto the restaurant scene in 1997, when we shook up London and showed the UK a new way of eating. Part of this was the 'kaiten' conveyor belt and colour‑coded dishes which made our name. We're all about fresh, flavoursome, authentic Japanese food. Sushi is what we're famous for, but we also have a mouth‑watering range of hot street food available – from traditional classics to innovative fusion dishes. All packed with rich, aromatic flavours and umami. Fast forward to today and we have over 70 restaurants all over the globe, more than 300 kiosks in the UK, with grocery products and pre‑pack sushi in most major UK supermarkets.

Our Hosts are the first and final point of contact for our guest and are responsible for ensuring our guest journey starts and ends as a success! Hosts are responsible for providing a warm welcome, managing bookings, and acknowledging our guest in a timely and welcoming manner; you can pre‑empt our guest seating preferences whilst maximising restaurant operations.

Our Hosts are adaptable, welcoming and hands on! We are people focused and love accommodating our guest needs.

  • Guest are at the heart of what we do, providing a great experience starts with our Host with a warm welcome at the door or a friendly acknowledgment on arrival.
  • Communicating is key, our Host are key communicators, whether that be communicating with the YO! team effectively to deliver a seamless wait time for our guest or dealing with guest enquiries and request.
  • Real brand advocate you are engaging and welcoming, approaching passing guests to promote our offering and entice potential customer through the door.
  • Guest orientated, you have a keen eye for the customers needs and are ready to support our Guest Servers working on the floor.
  • Great organisation skills, our host manage reservations and waitlists using the restaurant’s booking system whilst pre‑empting the upcoming rush!
  • Problem solving, you are able to accommodate the guest needs whilst managing the operational demands.
  • Working as a team, supporting our Guest Servers in the restaurant operations, such as table set up, cleaning menus, polishing calculary and creating a clean and welcoming environment.
  • Any guest interactions are quickly followed up throughout the day. If we ever deviate from delivering our high standards, we make it right to quickly resolve and ensure all guests leave happy and advocates of our brand.
