Job summary

Sodexo in the United Kingdom is seeking a flexible Catering and Hospitality Assistant to support dining services and related units across the site.

You will assist with food preparation and serving, welcome customers, keep areas clean, handle deliveries, support retail and cleaning teams as needed, and receive training to perform duties confidently. This role requires flexibility across five days out of seven, including weekends.

Qualifications

• Previous experience isn't essential - we'll provide training to help you feel confident in your duties.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparing, cooking and serving food and drinks, following training and food safety procedures.
• Welcome customers and provide friendly, helpful service.
• Support the preparation, service and clearing down of ad hoc functions.
• Keep kitchen, dining and hospitality areas clean, tidy and ready for use.
• Receive deliveries, replenish stock and store items safely.
• Handle payments accurately when required.
• Support retail units, including serving customers, replenishing shelves and keeping displays tidy.
• Support cleaning teams, carrying out general cleaning in communal areas, accommodation and other allocated spaces.
• Work flexibly across different units onsite, following your team leader's direction.
• Follow health, safety and hygiene procedures, reporting equipment faults or concerns promptly.
• A friendly personality and enthusiasm for catering, hospitality and customer service.
• A positive, reliable approach and willingness to learn.
• Willingness to support other units, including retail and cleaning, when required.
• Availability to work varied shifts across five days out of seven, including weekends, with flexibility to support functions.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Attention to cleanliness, presentation and safe working practices.
