Job summary

John Lewis & Partners is seeking a Hospitality Assistant to join our Partner dining room, providing food service to Partners with pride in presentation and hygiene standards. You will support with stock replenishment, storage of deliveries, food prep and pot wash, working in a fast-paced catering environment.

Ideal candidates hold a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate, experience in catering and a customer-facing role.

• Work as a team to ensure a smooth catering service.
• Provide positive Partner interactions with a friendly and welcoming attitude.
• Follow procedures and instructions using the 'Health and Safety at Work Act' and 'Food Safety Act' when completing all relevant tasks.
• Ensure stock is stored away appropriately and replenished.
• Reduce food wastage by ensuring care and due diligence when rotating food stock.
• Act promptly and use your initiative to resolve any issues that arise in the operation.
• Maintain personal hygiene standards.
• Providing prompt service when working on a cashless till.
• Maintaining vending machines - cleaning and re-stocking.

About The Role

Key Responsibilities

Working in a catering operation is fast-paced. Daily responsibilities will include:
