Job summary

2gether Support Solutions Limited in Margate is seeking a Ward Catering Assistant to support patient meals and ward cleanliness on a permanent, night-shift schedule (Saturday & Sunday, 10pm–6am). You will handle orders, prepare meals, assist with stock, and maintain high hygiene standards.

Ideal candidates have customer service or catering background and a commitment to patient care. The role offers NHS-style benefits and a supportive facilities team.

Qualifications

• Previous customer service or catering experience would be an advantage.
• Role involves maintaining cleanliness and delivering catering services for patients.

Responsibilities

• Carry out housekeeping duties, cleaning, catering and patient services.
• Respond promptly to patient requests and needs regarding catering and housekeeping services.
• Comply with infection and control policies, COSHH, Health and Safety and other legislation
• Take patients’ meal orders, prepare and distribute meals and beverages according to dietary requirements.
• Clean and sanitise patient rooms, bathrooms, and common areas to high standards.
• Ensure cleanliness and proper storage of catering equipment and utensils.
• Assist in managing food stock, including receiving deliveries and maintaining inventory.

2 gether Support Solutions is a Facilities and Estates services company providing support to healthcare professionals caring for over 2000 patients daily across multiple East Kent hospital sites. 2gether provides vital services including maintenance, cleaning, catering, procurement, logistics and much more.

The Role:

Ward Catering Ass istants are the lifeblood of the NHS and an integral part of the team, providing high levels of patient service, cleaning, and catering support within clinical areas. Previous customer service or catering experience would be an advantage.

You will provide essential support in maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of the hospital wards and delivering high-quality catering services to patients, ensuring a comfortable and safe environment.

This is a permanent position covering shifts Saturday & Sunday 10pm-6am.
