Job summary

Wirral University Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a part-time Porter at Clatterbridge Hospital, Bebington. The post covers 33.25 hours per week with a salary of £25,272 per annum pro rata, based on a permanent contract.

Responsibilities include carrying out portering duties across hospital areas, transporting patients, and supporting infection prevention and control. A full driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in portering within a healthcare setting.
• Good standard of English.
• Full driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Perform portering duties across hospital sites including departments.
• Transport patients safely within the hospital per policies.
• Use portering computer system and radios to allocate duties.
• Handle delivery and transfer of equipment, beds and gas cylinders.
• Assist with transfer of deceased patients respectfully.
• Ensure wheelchairs are cleaned after patient use.
