Job summary

Circle Health Group's Mount Alvernia Hospital in Guildford is seeking a Pharmacy Technician (SACT) on a 9 months fixed-term contract for 22.5 hours per week. The role includes dispensing, ward supply, and supporting discharge planning, with a focus on safe and timely medicines distribution.

Responsibilities

• Dispense and prepare medicines accurately in line with prescriptions and regulations.
• Supply medications to wards, theatres and outpatient departments.
• Assist discharge planning by preparing take-home medications and coordinating with clinical teams.
• Support ward-based activities: stock top-ups, medication reconciliation and patient counselling.
• Collaborate with pharmacists and nursing staff to ensure safe medicines use at ward level.
• Identify and reduce medication waste via stock rotation and cross-team communication.
