We are seeking dedicated individuals who are ready to provide exceptional service while ensuring the comfort and safety of our patients.

Hours:

2pm to 10pm - Monday to Friday with occasional weekends

Norfolk and Norwich Hospital

About the Role:

As a Porter, you will play a vital role in enhancing the patient experience. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Patient Care: Escorting patients between wards and departments with empathy and respect.
  • Logistics Management: Safely moving items such as medical records, equipment, and deliveries throughout the hospital.
  • Support for Staff: Assisting nursing staff with transfers and ensuring the efficient operation of portering services.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver a safe and positive patient experience during their stay.
  • Engage with patients, relatives, and hospital colleagues with empathy and professionalism.
  • Ensure the timely and respectful transfer of deceased patients to the mortuary.
  • Manage the movement of medical gases, equipment, and other essential items.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety standards for equipment and transport items.
