The Hospital Palliative Care Team has unique opportunity for a new Band 7 registered nurse to join a high profile team at NUH. We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic individual to work as a Palliative Care Nurse Specialist providing a specialist palliative care service to adult areas throughout Nottingham University Hospitals Trust. The team sees approximately 2000 inpatients a year throughout the trust, delivers education to all members of the multidisciplinary team, has a pivotal role in service development and supporting End of Life initiatives across the trust, as well as having an integral role in supporting the wider specialist palliative care team. You will be expected to demonstrate a significant commitment to the field of palliative care, to be educated to first degree level, and to have a recognised qualification in palliative care or equivalent experience. Teaching experience is essential, as is the evidence of high level communication skills and working in a senior nursing position.
