Job summary

Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Painter for the Estates and Facilities team. The role covers painting and decorating hospital properties, both inside and outside, to high craft standards and involves area prep and occasional wall repairs.

The position offers a permanent contract with full- or part-time hours and flexible working, with a 12-week training period and supportive staff facilities.

Qualifications

• Apprenticeship or NVQ level 2 or equivalent in painting/decorating.
• Training such as Working at Height, Asbestos Awareness, CSCS, PLASMA, IPAF.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and work from instructions, drawings and specs for painting duties.
• Paint and decorate hospital property internally and externally to craft standards.
• Prepare areas, remove and re-fix furniture; wallpaper, varnish, wash walls.
• Carry out minor repairs, grout tiles; manage scaffolding and access equipment.
