Job summary

JLL is seeking a Fabric Engineer to join the Brentwood community hospital maintenance team. The role focuses on planned preventative maintenance and reactive fabric repairs to keep the hospital environment safe and compliant.

You will work within the maintenance team, following health and safety regulations, with responsibilities spanning logging jobs, liaising with contractors, and supporting energy performance initiatives.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification or equivalent experience in relevant discipline.
• 2–3 years' experience in fabric maintenance, preferably healthcare.
• Practical skills in painting, decorating, minor carpentry, and fabric repairs.
• Strong health and safety knowledge in a healthcare setting.
• Familiarity with PPM systems and CAFM systems.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general fabric maintenance tasks including painting and minor carpentry repairs.
• Report real-time on CAFM system and maintain logs.
• Perform routine fabric checks and emergency lighting tests.
• Support 100% uptime of building fabric to meet hospital requirements.
• Adhere to health & safety regulations and SLAs.
