Job summary

Derbyshire Community Health Services NHS Foundation Trust (DCHS) in Ashbourne is hiring a part-time Domestic Assistant (Facilities) to support hospital cleanliness and patient and staff comfort. The role runs Monday to Friday, 15:00–18:00, at St Oswald's Hospital and may include porter duties as needed.

The successful candidate will join a team of facilities staff, receive full training, and contribute to a safe, welcoming environment across the site as part of a supportive NHS trust.

Qualifications

• Basic numeracy and literacy skills or willing to work towards
• Basic Health and Safety Certificate
• NVQ in cleaning
• Previous cleaning experience

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for patients, staff and visitors.
• Follow agreed work schedules, cleaning methods and procedures in line with the National Standards of Cleanliness.
• You may be required to work across different sites when necessary to support service demands.
