Overview
Bramah Recruitment are recruiting for a Hospital Compliance Manager to join a fantastic organisation based close to Eastleigh in Hampshire. This is an on-site permanent position and is a fantastic opportunity to join a rapidly growing business at a pivotal time of their expansion in the UK.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the hospital's compliance program, including oversight of CQC-related standards and readiness.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with UK healthcare regulations, as well as CQC regulations and inspection requirements.
- Conduct regular internal audits, risk assessments, and compliance reviews; track, report, and remediate findings related to CQC domains (safe, effective, caring, responsive, well-led).
- Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies, accreditation bodies, and the CQC.
- Maintain a robust policy management system and ensure staff awareness and training on compliance-related policies and procedures, including those applicable to CQC requirements.
- Investigate and document compliance concerns or incidents; collaborate with leadership to implement corrective action plans with CQC expectations in mind.
- Coordinate and oversee hospital licensing, accreditation, certification, and CQC registration requirements.
- Develop and deliver education programs to promote a proactive compliance culture across all hospital departments, with emphasis on meeting CQC quality and safety standards.
- Analyze trends in regulatory changes—including those from the CQC—and advise leadership on necessary actions or process improvements.
- Prepare and present compliance reports to hospital executives and the compliance committee, highlighting CQC-related performance metrics and inspection readiness.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Law, or a related field (Master's preferred).
- Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC) or willingness to obtain certification.
- 3-5+ years of experience in healthcare compliance, hospital operations, or related regulatory roles (UK healthcare experience preferred).
- Strong knowledge of UK healthcare laws and standards, CQC domains, and accreditation criteria.
- Excellent analytical, investigative, and organisational skills.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities with proven experience influencing cross-functional teams.
