Responsibilities

• Carry out daily cleaning duties as instructed by the PST Team Leader.
• General cleaning of wards, clinical and non-clinical departments.
• Assist in infection control deep cleans as directed.
• Ensure proper use of cleaning materials.
• Maintain cleaning cupboard and trolley cleanliness.
• Thoroughly clean and sterilise cleaning equipment after use.
• Follow local cleaning schedules and procedures.
• Assist with corrective actions identified in cleanliness audits.
• Ensure safe work methods to protect patients and staff.
• Assist in the receipt and storage of provisions.
• Replenish consumables in designated areas.
• Dispose of waste properly in line with policy.
• Keep waste areas clean and organized.
• Check equipment before use and report faults.
• Report accidents and participate in related paperwork.
• Assist with patient movement activities as required.
• Help with deliveries and distributions as directed.
• Attend relevant training.
• Complete timesheets and attendance logs.
