A healthcare service in Tasmania seeks a Hospital Aide to join the dynamic Short Stay Surgical Unit at Launceston General Hospital. The role involves maintaining cleanliness and order, supporting patient flow, and ensuring a high standard of care. Successful candidates should be hardworking, skilled in communication, and able to work independently. This permanent full-time role offers a salary range of $57,130 to $62,486 per annum, with benefits including professional development and fitness programs.
The Short Stay Surgical Unit at the Launceston General Hospital is a dynamic, fast paced surgical unit with a high patient turnover. We are a committed team who work closely together to deliver high quality patient care and outcome.
The role of the Hospital Aide is key in maintaining patient flow throughout the unit. Specifically ensuring the tidiness and cleanliness of the ward, ordering of linen and stock and any other duties as required and at the direction of managers.

The Department of Health Tasmania oversees various hospitals across the state, including the Royal Hobart Hospital, Launceston General Hospital, Northwest Regional Hospital, and Mersey Community Hospital, as well as district hospitals and ambulance services. Additionally, it provides community health, mental health, and primary healthcare services to the Tasmanian community through more than 300 sites.

Permanent full time, shift worker position, working 76hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as you would like to join our team. *notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

$57,130 to $62,486 per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
