Job summary

Dobbies Garden Centres is seeking a Horticulture Manager to oversee the horticulture department and drive exceptional customer service across stores. You will lead with passion, set store standards with the general manager, and ensure profitable sales and a first-class gardening experience.

You will coach teams, manage seasonal priorities, and work with central teams to maintain high safety and service standards.

Qualifications

• Horticultural expertise with retail management experience.
• Commercial awareness with budgeting and profitability focus.
• Ability to identify training needs and coach teams for excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Oversee horticulture department operations to maximise profitable sales and growth.
• Provide expert advice on plant care and core gardening products.
• Inspire the team to deliver a brilliant customer journey and in-store experience.
• Work with central support teams to improve business and communication.
• Ensure health & safety regulations are followed and staff, customers welfare is cared for.
• As part of the senior management team, perform duty manager responsibilities including key holder duties.
