Job summary

Brymore Academy is seeking a dedicated horticulture support assistant to help run practical activities and maintain our horticultural facilities, including greenhouse environments. You will work with staff to deliver engaging and safe learning experiences for students throughout the year.

Hours include after-school garden maintenance from 3:45 pm to 5:00 pm, with opportunities for training in health and safety, greenhouse operations, and other relevant certifications.

Qualifications

  • Willingness to undertake practical gardening and grounds maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Support the horticulture provision across the academy and assist students with practical activities.
  • Help maintain horticultural facilities, including greenhouse environments.
  • Work closely with teaching staff to provide engaging and safe learning experiences.
  • Undertake garden maintenance duties after the school day from 3:45 pm to 5:00 pm.

The successful candidate will support the horticulture provision across the academy, assisting students with practical activities and helping to maintain our horticultural facilities, including greenhouse environments. In addition to supporting horticultural learning, the post holder will undertake garden maintenance duties after the school day, working from 3.45 pm to 5.00 pm. These duties will include the upkeep and development of the academy gardens and horticultural areas, ensuring they remain safe, well-presented, and productive throughout the year.
