Qualifications

  • Experience as a Grounds Maintenance / Horticulture Team Leader.
  • Strong Horticultural knowledge - NVQ Horticulture / RHS Level 2 minimum & RHS Level 3 preferred.
  • Full, clean UK driving license.
  • Experience in The Royal Parks or other prestigious public spaces is desirable.

Job description

Horticultural Supervisor Location : Greenwich Park Hourly Rate : £16.00 Contract type : Permanent Working hours : Monday to Thursday 7am-4pm and Friday 7am-3pm

About the role

As a key part of the Horticultural team, you will work directly with the Royal Parks Head Gardener. The horticultural team are responsible for the key ornamental areas around the park, including The Rose Garden, St Mary's Garden, The Herb Garden, The Royal Observatory Garden, The Queen's House Border and The Flower Garden – which includes the lake and Edwardian Border and The Rockery.

As the Supervisor, you will be assigned the management and responsibility of one of the prestigious gardens within the park, as well as overseeing and managing all areas of horticultural significance alongside the Head Gardener. In addition, and with guidance, you will maintain and develop these spaces, working on designs, planting plans and maintenance routines with all members of the Horticultural team.

Requirements
  • Experience as a Grounds Maintenance / Horticulture Team Leader.
  • Strong Horticultural knowledge - NVQ Horticulture / RHS Level 2 minimum & RHS Level 3 preferred.
  • Full, clean UK driving license.
  • Experience in The Royal Parks or other prestigious public spaces is desirable.
