Job summary

MorePeople is recruiting a Horticultural Sales Advisor for a well-established nursery in Hertfordshire. You will combine horticultural expertise with commercial awareness to advise customers on tree and plant selection, planting schemes and the practicalities of delivery and planting.

In this role you will handle enquiries by phone and email, prepare quotes and drive enquiries through to completion, building lasting relationships with customers and supporting business development.

Qualifications

• Passionate about horticulture with strong tree knowledge.
• Experience of sales and/or business development.
• Confident communicating with customers face-to-face, by phone and email.
• Organised, proactive and able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Comfortable working under pressure with excellent attention to detail.
• IT literate with strong administration skills.
• Committed to providing excellent customer service.
• Garden design experience reading plans would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Advise customers on tree and plant selection and planting schemes.
• Prepare quotes and manage delivery, planting, and after-sale follow-through.
• Handle enquiries by phone and email and develop new business opportunities.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships to support sales growth.

Horticultural Sales Advisor | Hertfordshire | £DOE + Benefits

The Role

We're looking for a Horticultural Sales Advisor with strong horticultural and tree knowledge to join an established and award-winning nursery in Hertfordshire.

You'll work closely with customers visiting the nursery, as well as handling enquiries by phone and email. You'll advise on tree and plant selection, planting schemes and the practicalities of supply, delivery and planting, while preparing quotes and ensuring excellent follow-through from enquiry to completion.

This role is for someone who combines horticultural expertise with commercial awareness, enjoys building customer relationships and is confident developing new business.

• Passionate about horticulture with strong tree knowledge
