Job summary

Rentokil Initial is seeking an Horticultural Installations Supervisor to lead our on-site team across London-based projects. You will oversee installation quality, mentor technicians, and coordinate with clients and the Branch Operations Manager.

The role requires a hands-on technician with leadership experience, a valid UK driving licence, and flexibility to cover varied hours, including out-of-hours shifts.

Qualifications

• Must hold a full UK driving licence for 2+ years and max 6 penalty points.
• At least 1 year in a Technician role with proven leadership.
• Strong communication, resilience and problem solving under pressure.
• Background in planting, green walls or irrigation systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead local installation teams with frontline coaching and performance reviews.
• On-site installations: lead, quality audits, and stock/logistics management.
• Collaborate with sales on site surveys, risk assessments, and issue resolution.
• Provide out-of-hours support and adapt to customer commitments.

Location: Brentwood Branch (covering Greater London)

Salary: £32,684 per annum + Overtime & Bonus (OTE)

Contract: Full-Time, Permanent (40 hrs/week), this role requires you to be flexible, start and finish times depend on customer requirements

About the Role

Are you a hands-on horticultural technician ready to step into field leadership?

Urban Planters is looking for an Horticultural Installation Supervisor to lead our on-site team, drive service excellence, and bring commercial spaces across London to life. Working closely with the Branch Operations Manager, you will spend at least 4 days a week in the field—leading teams, quality-checking installations, and working directly with clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Team Leadership: Direct line management, frontline coaching, daily support, and performance reviews for local Install Technicians.
• On-Site Operations: Lead active installations, carry out quality audits, manage equipment/stock logistics, and ensure company standards
• Commercial & Technical Support: Work with sales on site surveys, risk assessments, and issues
• Operational Flexibility: Support maintenance teams and handle out-of-hours customer commitments when required.

What We're Looking For

• Full UK Driving Licence held for 2+ years (max 6 penalty points).
• 1+ years of experience in a Technician role with proven team leadership skills.
• Strong communication, resilience, and problem-solving abilities under pressure.
• Flexibility to work varied hours, including out-of-hours coverage.

• Background in planting, green walls, or irrigation systems.
• Service delivery management experience would be advantageous but is not essential as full training will be given
