Job summary

Sterling Computers Corporation is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to own and secure the Omnissa Horizon/Vmware Horizon VDI environment across the UK. This hands-on role requires strong security hardening, patch management and end-user computing expertise, with collaboration across infrastructure, security and audit teams.

Qualifications

• Significant hands-on experience managing Omnissa Horizon/VMware Horizon VDI environments.
• Experience managing thin client estates at scale across multiple sites.
• Experience securing Windows endpoints and patching in an enterprise environment.
• Strong focus on system hardening, patch management and vulnerability remediation.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day management, monitoring, and security of the Omnissa Horizon VDI platform.
• Design, build, and secure gold images; manage application delivery and configurations.
• Manage thin clients across UK sites with policy enforcement and patching.
• Oversee security posture of company laptops including baseline configurations.
• Carry out upgrades, certificate management and patch cycles per standards.
• Maintain documentation, runbooks, and operational reporting for Horizon estate.
