Job summary

Hooke/Titchmarsh Research Fellow at the Mathematical Institute, University of Oxford, is a full-time, fixed-term postdoctoral fellowship up to 36 months. Applications for job shares or part-time working to accommodate family circumstances will be considered.

The Fellow will conduct independent research in Complex Systems, including Random Matrix Theory and Statistical Mechanics, collaborate with the Mathematical Physics Research Group, and contribute teaching up to three hours per week.

Qualifications

• Background in mathematics or physics.
• Record of outstanding research in mathematical theory of Complex Systems.

Responsibilities

• Contribute up to three hours of teaching per week for 24 weeks per academic year.
• Undertake independent research and develop a research plan to enhance the Mathematical Institute’s profile.
• Collaborate with the Mathematical Physics Research Group and related groups.
