Home Care Worker

Part time NEW Make a Real Difference as a Home Care Worker with Alcedo Care in Blackpool, working in the areas of Blackpool, Fylde & Wyre.

As a Home Care Worker, you'll support people of all ages with personal care, medication and meal preparation, household tasks and daily routines, and encouraging independence and companionship.

No prior experience? That's okay. Our Candidate Assessment Programme (CAP) during onboarding will give you the skills and confidence you need.

Care Opportunities

• Complex Care (£14.75-£15.25) – supporting individuals with conditions such as spinal injuries, neurological disorders, and respiratory needs. Training includes tracheostomy care, PEG feeding, postural support, and more.
• Children's Support (£13.40-£14.40) – providing personal care, emotional support, and daily assistance for children and young people with complex needs.
• Mental Health Support (£13.40-£14.40) – offering practical and emotional support to help individuals manage routines, reduce isolation, and build confidence.

Eligibility & Requirements

• At least 18 years old.
• Willing to work flexible hours, including alternate weekends.
• Enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references required.
• For Complex Care, Children’s or Mental Health duties we require at least 6 months' hands‑on UK care experience.

Pay & Employment Terms

Paid £13.40 to £15.25 per hour (GBP). Part‑time or full‑time roles available with flexible shifts. New hires receive a £250 welcome bonus after completing probation, and holiday pay equivalent to a rolled‑up rate of £15.47 to £17.60.
