Homecare & Procurement Officer

Overview

Pharmacy department – Band 4, £27,485 - £30,162 per annum, full‑time 37.5 hours per week with flexible working options.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee day‑to‑day administrative and operational duties of the Pharmacy Homecare Service supporting over 2,500 patients receiving medicines at home.
  • Coordinate with homecare providers, ensure accurate service records, support stock control and manage billing processes to maintain a smooth and cost‑efficient service.
  • Provide support to the Pharmacy Procurement team – liaise with suppliers, assist with stock ordering and ensure compliance with contractual purchasing agreements.
  • Produce performance data in graphical form for local and regional KPIs and support development of future performance measures.
  • Co‑operate with staff in other disciplines to help ensure the safe, effective and economic use of drugs.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Strong communication and leadership skills – able to lead a team to deliver an excellent patient‑centred service.
  • Experience and/or knowledge of Pharmacy Homecare operations.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational abilities.
  • Knowledge of MHRA rules, COSHH, lifting and handling regulations and Trust policies.
Benefits & Working Hours
  • Band 4 salary – £27,485 - £30,162 per annum.
  • Full‑time 37.5 hours per week, with flexible working options for MKUH roles.
