Join our multi-award winning team and become part of our family run business which very much has our carers at the heart. We are recruiting for caring and compassionate Homecare Assistants and have branches in Ilkeston, Long Eaton and Ripley.

Whether you are an experienced carer or looking for a career change, all we require is a full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.

You will be supporting people in Ilkeston and Long Eaton which includes these areas: Ilkeston, Heanor, West Hallam, Cossall, Trowell, Awsworth, Risley, Breaston, Toton, Sandiacre, Stapleford, Draycott, Sawley, Borrowash, Spondon, Kirk hallam, Cotmanhay, Stanley, Stanley Village, Mapperley Village and Long Eaton.

Key Responsibilities

Key responsibilities of a Homecare Assistant

  • Providing care and support to individuals living in their own home to a high standard
  • Assisting clients with bathing, grooming, and getting dressed
  • Handling household tasks like grocery shopping and laundry
  • Preparing and serving meals at the appropriate times
  • Administering and organising medication
  • Collaborating with other health care and social care professionals to provide the best possible care
  • Completing visit notes that are detailed, accurate and true.

  • No care experience necessary as full training is provided
  • Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
  • We require all of our team to have full availability on each shift pattern they choose and to work every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday)

Company benefits and pay

What we offer

  • A choice of full time or part time shift patterns - We don’t offer zero hour contracts. Instead, we want to ensure all of our care team knows that we can guarantee a minimum number of hours no matter what. In all of these contracts, you can still pick up extra work if you wish to: Full time rota pattern - 30 minimum guaranteed weekly hours - This would see you working a mix of morning, lunch and tea calls during the week. Including your weekend to work, we would typically require you to work only 3 bed runs each week. Early set shift pattern - 20 minimum guaranteed weekly hours - This would see you working morning and lunch calls (7am-3pm) during the week, plus every other weekend. Late set shift pattern - 15 minimum guaranteed weekly hours - This would see you working tea and bed calls during the week (4pm-10.30pm) plus every other weekend.
  • Competitive rates of pay: £12.82 per hour - including weekdays and weekends - plus £2.10 per house that you visit
  • Pension - Employer contributions
  • Continuous Training - which includes one week’s induction training in our award winning training centre (we pay you £425 for this) completing your Care Certificate, Advanced Dementia and End of Life training in your first year, and 4 days of paid CPD to use every year
