Dorset HealthCare University NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 3 Community Health Care Assistant to join the Ferndown District Nursing service. You will visit patients in their own homes and provide clinical care under supervision.

Experience in the community is desirable, training will be offered, and you may undertake in-house extended skills such as insulin administration and catheterisation. Applicants should have access to a car and hold right to work in the UK; visa sponsorship is not

Qualifications

• Willing and able to apply existing experience to community and gain necessary skills to work effectively in the community setting
• Willing to professionally develop and undertake further development/training as identified to meet the needs of the service, including Trust Band 3 Extended Skills programme and Care Certificate
• Excellent interpersonal skills.

Responsabilités

• Visit patients in their own homes providing clinical care under supervision of the team
• Provide clinical care including wound care, phlebotomy and extended skills when proficient
• Follow care plans, work under team leader or nominated deputy, and communicate effectively
• DBS check is required and supported by the Trust
• Access to a car with a valid driving license is essential for Trust business
