SEMH Tutor (Part / Full Time, Temporary)

£29,800 - £40,625 per annum (salary depends on experience and/or qualifications)

About the Role

A vibrant, supportive, and highly regarded special needs school in Withernsea is seeking to appoint a full or part-time SEMH Tutor. As an SEMH tutor/mentor, you will support students with sessions ranging from a few hours to multiple times a week, and complete weekly feedback forms on students' progress, achievements, behavior, and self-esteem/confidence.

We are looking for tutors to work 1-2-1 with Looked After Children (LAC). Sessions can take place in schools, care homes, foster homes, libraries, etc. We also provide tutors for alternative and mainstream education settings supporting children and young adults with SEMH, ASD, ADHD, Asperger's, MLD, and challenging behaviors.

Requirements
  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Primary or Secondary
  • Experience working with secondary-aged children
  • Experience managing behavior
  • A genuine desire to be part of a committed team of SEND Teachers and LSAs
  • A passion for making a difference in the lives of young people
