Job summary

Merseyfire is seeking a Home Safety Advocate to work across Merseyside. You will deliver home safety advice to communities, especially with vulnerable people, and help reduce risk from fire.

You’ll work with colleagues to assess and install safety equipment, support partners in outreach projects, and uphold data protection, privacy and confidentiality. Strong communication and analytical skills and the ability to work to deadlines are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience working within communities, with vulnerable people.
• Sound knowledge of Data Protection.
• Good understanding of privacy and confidentiality.
• Excellent communication and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Provide home safety advice across Merseyside.
• Assist Firefighters with assessment and installation of safety equipment.
• Support partners in community outreach projects.
