Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of building construction, regulations, and housing standards.
• Experience carrying out stock condition surveys and HHSRS assessments.
• Ability to analyse and interpret technical data to make informed recommendations.
• Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
• Relevant qualification such as HND in Building Surveying (or equivalent).
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for business use.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out detailed property condition surveys and Housing Health & Safety Rating System (HHSRS) assessments.
• Producing clear, accurate condition reports with recommendations for improvements.
• Identifying and escalating any defects that breach statutory or regulatory requirements.
• Undertaking Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) assessments when required.
• Working closely with colleagues to ensure investment programmes target homes that need it most.
• Ensuring all survey data is accurate and ready to inform decision making.

Home Quality Assessor

Salary: £39,438 per annum

Location: Field-based

Hours: 37 per week, Monday - Friday

We're looking for a Home Quality Assessor to play a vital role in assessing and improving the condition of homes and communal spaces - making a direct impact on residents comfort, safety, and satisfaction.

What you’ll be doing:

• Carrying out detailed property condition surveys and Housing Health & Safety Rating System (HHSRS) assessments.
• Producing clear, accurate condition reports with recommendations for improvements.
• Identifying and escalating any defects that breach statutory or regulatory requirements.
• Undertaking Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) assessments when required.
• Working closely with colleagues to ensure investment programmes target the homes that need it most.
• Ensuring all survey data is accurate, uploaded, and ready to inform decision making.
