Management - Yarnley House Care Home

Contract : Full Time

Salary : Up to £90,000 per annum (DOE) + 40% Annual Bonus

Shift Type : Days

Home Manager Opportunity | Yarnley House Care Home | Ringwood

Up to £90,000 per annum + 40% Annual Bonus + Private Medical Insurance + Pension

Yarnley House Care Home is a newly opened, 72-bed luxury service within the Care Concern Group portfolio, launched in September 2024. Operating at the premium end of the market with a clear focus on self-funders / private fees, the home presents a significant leadership opportunity for a commercially astute Home Manager to shape performance, reputation and long-term success from an early stage.

Despite being early in its operational journey, Yarnley House has already achieved outstanding external recognition, including a 9.7 / 10 rating, Top 10 Care Home for Best in Wellbeing, and Top 100 Care Home nationally from Lottie. These awards reflect the quality of care, environment and resident experience already in place.

What the home now requires is the right commercial and operational leader to unlock its full potential. As a new service, occupancy is still developing and workforce structures are continuing to be built. With the right Home Manager in place, Yarnley House offers a genuine opportunity to shape a high-performing, stable and commercially successful home from an already strong base.

The Opportunity

This is a hands-on turnaround and growth role, suited to a Home Manager who thrives on building momentum, driving occupancy and creating long-term operational stability. You will be trusted to lead the home as your own business, with the autonomy and backing of a large, values-led organisation.

Your focus will be to
  • Drive sustainable occupancy growth through strong referral relationships, local marketing and positioning Yarnley House as a premium private-pay offering.
  • Build and stabilise a core care and nursing workforce, reducing reliance on agency usage as occupancy grows.
  • Embed a high-performance, values-led culture, improving engagement, accountability and retention.
  • Deliver strong regulatory and quality outcomes, ensuring compliance and progressing towards the CQC rating aligned with the home’s standards.
  • Strengthen Yarnley House’s market presence and reputation within Hampshire.
Who We’re Looking For

We are seeking a commercially astute, results-driven Home Manager with experience of improving performance and leading services through growth or turnaround phases.

You will bring
  • A proven track record of driving occupancy growth, ideally within the private-pay market
  • Strong commercial acumen, including P&L management, marketing and revenue optimisation
  • Experience of workforce stabilisation, with the ability to recruit, develop and retain strong teams
  • A visible, confident leadership style that builds trust with staff, residents, families and stakeholders
  • Nurse qualification with an active NMC PIN is desirable, though exceptional non-nurse commercial leaders will also be considered
Current Snapshot

Occupancy : 39% - A new home, early-stage growth phase.

Agency Usage : Is around 9% of total hours worked. Reflective of early staffing build and expected to reduce as occupancy and permanent teams grow.

Rating : 9.7 / 10

Awards
  • Top 10 – Best in Wellbeing (Lottie)
  • Top 100 Care Homes – National (Lottie)

CQC : Registered August 2024
