Job summary

Stiltz Homelifts is looking for an Installation Engineer to fit, service and repair our homelifts in customers' homes. You will work as a mobile engineer, covering Scotland and the north of England, with full training from day one and ongoing support.

The role involves installing lifts, carrying out servicing, diagnosing faults, and responding to breakdowns on a rota. A full UK driving licence and hands-on technical skills are preferred; experience is not essential as training is provided.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with mechanical or electrical equipment.
• Full UK driving licence (driving a company van).
• Confident working alone and explaining things clearly to customers.
• Willingness to travel across the region with overnight stays.
• A technical qualification (NVQ/SVQ/HNC) is useful but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Install our homelifts in customers' homes.
• Carry out planned servicing and maintenance.
• Diagnose faults and complete repairs on electrical and mechanical systems.
• Respond to breakdown call-outs on a rota (1–4, weekends as required).
• Look after van stock, tools and equipment; provide a friendly, professional experience.
