Job summary

Cardiff and Vale University Health Board is seeking a registered nurse to provide home-based IV therapy and CVAD care. You will train patients and carers, document care, and work as part of the TransCare Nursing Service across shifts.

A valid driving licence and flexibility to travel are essential for patient visits. Responsibilities include clinical emergency decision-making, maintaining standards per NMC guidelines, and contributing to continuous service improvement within a supportive NHS

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with current NMC registration.
• Competent in the management and delivery of IV therapies.
• Ability to work alone and make clinical decisions in emergencies.
• Full driving licence and access to a vehicle for home visits.
• Willingness to travel outside local area as required.

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed IV therapies and related care to patients.
• Provide training and support to patients and carers for home therapies.
• Maintain accurate nursing records and adhere to policies and guidelines.
• Contribute to incident reporting and root-cause analysis as required.
• Support the nursing team and participate in reviews and development.
