A public safety organization in the UK is seeking a Home Fire Safety Adviser to conduct home visits for high-risk individuals. The position involves assessing fire risks, gathering relevant information, and working with partner agencies to enhance safety and quality of life for residents. Ideal candidates will possess strong communication skills, experience in risk assessment, and the ability to engage with vulnerable populations. This role plays a vital part in reducing fire risk in the community.
To undertake home visits to high, and very high-risk members of the public identified via referrals. Referrals are received from several partners including social services and police where specific threats are identified. The job forms part of Northamptonshire Fire and Rescue Service’s (NFRS’s) multi-agency approach to fire safety; the post holder is required to collate information regarding the needs and risks of customers and, where appropriate, request referrals to our partner agencies to provide additional services, reduce risk and improve quality of life for residents of Northamptonshire.
