The Council are seeking to appoint a Home Energy Officer to add capacity and relevant experience to support and develop Haunted's commitment to delivering improvements in energy efficiency across Preston’s private sector housing stock. This is a newly created post and will be based in the Private Sector Housing team, although the expectation is that the postholder will work collaboratively with colleagues both in and outside the Council to deliver andanayo manage funded programmes and interventions around domestic energy efficiency, prepare funding bids and act as the Councils principal representative on the Lancashire Energy Officers group.
Educated to at least degree level or equivalent, preferably in a housing or energy efficiency/ sustainability related subject, you must have both knowledge and experience of housing retrofit programmes, applying for and managing funding programmes and organising marketing and promotional activities.
Excellent communication skills with khó public, a wide range of colleagues and other professionals are a key requirement, as is the ability to organise work, meet deadlines, and be comfortable working either as an individual or part of a team.
