Job summary

Sainsbury's Supermarkets Ltd in Portishead, Bristol is seeking a part-time Home Delivery Driver to deliver groceries to customers on time and in good condition. You’ll drive a 3.5 tonne van, perform vehicle checks, and assist customers with substitutions while staying safety-conscious.

Qualifications

• Over 18 and hold a full UK driving licence with 12 months’ experience and no more than 6 points.
• Right to Work in the UK.
• Complete online driving risk assessment as part of interview; driving assessment on joining if successful.

Responsibilities

• Drive a 3.5 tonne van to deliver groceries to customers’ doorsteps, on time and in good condition.
• Perform checks to ensure the van is roadworthy and delivery cases are secure.
• Assist customers with substitutions and respond to questions; provide product knowledge and recommendations.
• When not delivering, assist across the store as needed.

• You must be over 18 and have held a full UK/EU driving licence for at least 12 months with no more than 6 points on it
• You will complete an online driving risk assessment as part of your interview and, if you're successful, there'll be a driving assessment when you join us
• You must have Right to Work eligibility in the UK

What you'll be doing:

• Driving a 3.5 tonne van to deliver groceries to our customers doorsteps, on-time and in a great condition
• Completing checks to ensure the van is organised, clean and roadworthy, and that delivery cases are secure before getting out onto the road to drive safely in a variety of locations and conditions
• Serve our customers brilliantly, supporting with any questions and substitutions, and keeping them aware of any delays
• Build great knowledge about our products, services and promotions to help provide recommendations
• When not out making deliveries, you will be helping across the store as needed
